Meditation is a universal human resource

Our Purpose

Making Meditation Accessible to Everyone

Our purpose is to make meditation accessible to everyone by highlighting its powerful benefits for self-healing and overall well-being. Since 1969, scientific research has shown that meditation naturally shifts the body from a state of stress to one of deep relaxation in just a few minutes ~ promoting mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical health.

Through The Radiance Sutras School of Meditation we offer programs which draw on the yoga tradition that gave rise to The Radiance Sutras, a modern interpretation of the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. This ancient text presents 112 different "doorways" into meditation, offering a rich array of techniques. Instinctive Meditation®, our approach, uses and adapts these practices to suit our students' individual natures, making the practices effortless and enjoyable. Through flexible, customizable techniques, we enable people to experience the transformative benefits of meditation in a way that feels easy and natural ~ something they look forward to practicing each day.

Our programs welcome students at all levels—whether they’re exploring meditation for the first time, looking to deepen an existing practice with fresh techniques, or seeking to reignite the joy and vitality in their current practice. We also offer teacher trainings for those who wish to share our approach with others around the world.

The last 55 years of interviewing meditators about their experience in meditation, and what techniques work for them and what does not work.

The scientific research a the physiology of meditation, going back to the brilliant work by the team called together by Dr. Herbert Benson at Harvard Medical School in 1969, and continuing. Of interest and greatly relevant are more recent findings in neuroscience on what happens in the brain when we are learning, and assimilating what we learn.

The yoga tradition that gave rise to The Radiance Sutras, which is a modern version of the Vijfiana Bhairava Tantra. This text presents 112 different "doorways" into meditation - a succinct miniencyclopedia of meditative techniques.

Developing Meditation Resources

The secret of meditation lies in individuality—there's no one-size-fits-all technique. Meditation must be tailored to each person’s unique needs, an area requiring ongoing research and development. Your donation helps us continue this vital work and spread our mission of making meditation accessible to all.
