Our Story
Our Beginnings
The Organization's History
With over 100 years of combined experience, Lorin and Camille co-created Instinctive Meditation® to guide people in embracing their unique meditative paths. From these teachings, The Radiance Sutras School of Meditation was born, fostering a global community of practitioners and teachers who are passionate about integrating meditation into daily life. Guided by Lorin’s lifelong exploraton of the ancient yoga texts and modern scientific literature, and Camille’s expertise in embodiment and spiritual empowerment, our organization offers retreats, trainings, and resources that inspire joy, healing, and connection for all.
Lorin’s beautiful book The Radiance Sutras, a poetic rendition of an ancient yogic text, offers a bridge between timeless teachings and modern life. Meditation Secrets for Women, co-authored by Camille and Lorin, offers all the tools and insights necessary for women to design their own custom meditation techniques, without all the restrictions of traditional practices.
Since 2015, The Radiance Sutras School of Meditation has seen over 1000 people complete our 200-hour Meditation Teacher Training, and over 90 teachers have completed our 500-hour Advanced Teacher Training. Our certified teachers help us to fulfill our vision of making these life-affirming practices of Instinctive Meditation® available globally.
The Inspiration
The Radiance Sutras
The Radiance Sutras is Lorin's poetic and inspiring translation of the ancient yogic text The Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. This work invites readers to taste 112 meditation practices, exploring the richness of their senses and the beauty of everyday life as doorways to deeper awareness. Lorin's interpretations are accessible and relevant for modern readers, offering ways to experience meditation as an intimate, joyful encounter with the energy of life itself. Each sutra is an exploration of our natural instincts, guiding readers to embrace their meditation as a dynamic and creative process.
